Why do we find difference — so easily; yet find it hard to see what is in common?
In this little world that we know is so small, we tend to spot the differences between ‘me and you’ which quickly becomes ‘us and them’. Why?
The world has many people who are fleeing — refugees. Europe has seen this, and to a large extent has helped. The Middle East, Asia and Africa has seen it too and is helping. It happens everywhere. I was recently in Turkana, northern Kenya, and passed by the huge and old camp in Kakuma where people who fled fighting in South Sudan are sheltered.

Why is it that after so long living in the same world, we seek the differences between us rather than what is in common?
